Chapter 11 is a place where a debtor company can get a fact-based hearing and a bankruptcy court’s decision prevails on what payments are allowed and what payments are not allowed, balancing the demands of creditors with the needs of stakeholders. Too big to fail means “too many of Democrat special interests are affected, so we have to create a special and somewhat ineffective process.” Sounds like Bailout Obama and Tax Cheat Geithner are setting the US up to fail…

Do I have this right? Sen. Dodd and then- Sen. Obama were the two biggest receipients of funds from AIG? What kind of a game are these people playing? We are heading for a frightening climax soon. I tremble for our country.

The recently revealed fact that Sec. Geitner had Sen. Dodd change the bailout bill to allow for these types of bonuses to continue demonstrates how broken the system is. There still seems to be a blind belief in a system too big to fail. An economic philosophy that permits both huge bonuses at the top and wholesale layoffs through the ranks is unfixable because it fails to recognize where the engine really is in our economy.

Simple question for all those congressmen trying to figure out how to impose income taxes on those bonuses. Has anyone noticed the often quoted fact that the primary AIG group of interest is LONDON based? If these are NOT US citizens, just how do the proposed income taxes apply for non-citizens in a non-US country?
